2017 / 180 x 180 cm / canvas, titanium white, acrylic dispersion
The painting "Fenster I Exposure" is developing under the influence of light. At the beginning you can see a monochrome white picture. If you look at the picture from the side, you can see a motif: light falling through a window and hitting the wall. The whole picture is painted with only one pigment, which was dissolved in two different dispersions. For the wall a high-quality and UV-insensitive dispersion was used and for the window shaped light on the wall a UV-sensitive dispersion, which reacts with yellowing. Through the influence of sunlight, the window shape increasingly contrasts in colour with the originally monochrome white surface.
